Christmas is coming (whether you like it or not)

It catches us out every year, even though it is the most predictably marked date in the calendar…we find ourselves here again, wondering where the year went. The shops have snuck it into their aisles, the window displays are shifting and people have started asking ‘what are you doing for Christmas this year’? You know it will only be a matter of seconds after Halloween is done that we will be fully thrown into Christmas 2019.

Things to do locally

If you are already planning your Christmas shopping or thinking about festive events you can attend that don’t involve ice skating rinks then Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham might just be your festive something this year. Taking place on November 17th from 10:00- 4:00pm in the stunning setting of Strawberry Hill House, it is a beautifully curated festival fair that is not just designed to get you in and make you shop but to enjoy, learn and celebrate the festive cheer. Year on year it has grown in popularity and this year looks to be its best year yet.

EsmeLoves will be back there this year. We are super excited as it one of my favourite fairs of the year. The setting alone is perfect for displaying jewellery in but it is also a great opportunity to meet many of my customers in person. I am also delighted to be offering a number of pieces that are not available on the website. Below is just a taste of some of the pieces you can buy on the day.

As well as some delights for the younger jewellery wearer

And there is more…

So not only can you do all your Christmas shopping but there is a chance to experience some wonderful food tasting from the brilliant May Simpkin. Floral festival styling from the incredible Janne Ford who creates the most stunning styled images on her social media account. There will be a choir providing the festive sound track to your day. On top of this there are talks from two well known authors who have created unique and brilliant books.

A Tudor Christmas by Alison Wier is a world wide favourite book at this time of year as we learn all about just how festive Christmas was in the Tudor period was.

Another book talk will be by Karen Haller all about her book ‘The Little Book of Colour’ Book talks are such a great opportunity to gain insight to the authors ideas and inspirations as well as buying the book. A great gift for people this Christmas.

So come for some shopping, come for festive cheer, come and say hello. Bring your friends and family and enjoy the day.
